汝窯為宋代五大名窯汝、官、哥、鈞、定之首。南宋葉寘 《坦齋筆衡》：「本朝以定州白瓷有芒不堪用，遂命汝州造 青窯器，故河北唐、鄧、耀州悉有之，汝窯為魁。」汝窯 青瓷與其他青瓷的差異，最明顯是它的表面肌理。汝窯釉 面其實是無數細密小孔所形成類似梨皮或粉色的光澤感， 原因是氣泡浮出釉面未及填補而形成的肌理，近代的鑒賞 家形容為梨皮肌理，而最好的説法我個人認為故宮博物館 副館長余佩瑾在介紹無紋水仙盆提到的，近距離的看，有 一種粉色的光澤。更淸楚的説明，一般透明釉和冰裂釉的 釉面上多數會呈現是有光影的反射，唯有汝窯青瓷因為在 無數小孔的干擾下，在透明釉與冰裂釉面形成一種不會聚 光的肌理。
